Management

The primary objective of Gujarat Vidyapith is to foster the holistic development of its students, enabling them to excel in their societal roles. The Department of Rural Management is dedicated to equipping students with managerial skills and placing them in rural areas, where they contribute to rural development through systematic efforts.

Since its inception in 1988, the Department has been offering a full-time MBA program with a specialization in Rural Management, which is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and conducted in Gujarati. The program, with an intake capacity of 60 students, has demonstrated exceptional effectiveness, achieving nearly 100% placement. It is structured over four semesters, totaling 80 credits. In addition, the Department offers a Ph.D. program in Rural Management. Furthermore, the Department has successfully completed over 20 research projects funded by various agencies and actively participates in several government initiatives aimed at benefiting local communities.

Gujarat Vidyapith's MA-HRM course began in 2004. This full-time, two-year courses (four semesters) focuses on human resources for a variety of industries, including government agencies, hospitals, banks, and educational institutions. In accordance with the National Education Policy, it employs a value-based approach based on mother-tongue instruction and Gandhian philosophy. 80 credits and 16 papers make up the course of study, and the fourth semester includes project work and a three-month internship.

Excellent resources, skill-development opportunities, and placement are provided to students. Government scholarships are available to students who are SC, ST, or OBC. The Department takes pride in its Alumni Association, which significantly supports student activities and growth. Regular alumni meetings are held to strengthen this valuable network.
