Vishwakarma Institute of Kaushal and Swavlamban (Vikas)

The basic objective of Gujarat Vidyapith is to prepare students who are equipped with character, capability, integrity and commitment through educational programs in the context of reconstruction of nation, based on Gandhian Ideals.

VISHWAKARMA INSTITUTE OF KAUSHAL AND SWAVLAMBAN (VIKAS) is situated in Ahmadabad, Gujarat. Based on this ideology department is conducting different professional courses and also vocational training programme to make student self employed. It also conduct Skill Enhancement Courses under NEP 2020 and Project work for University Students.

(1) Skill Enhancement Courses (SEC) under NEP 2020.

These Courses aimed at imparting practical skill, hands on training, soft skill etc. to enhance the employability of students. We have design the courses as per students need and available institutional recourses.

The Department has separate and exclusive building, the building has fully equipped with lecture rooms, Office Space for faculties, Laboratory, Department Library and Workshops. We are thrilled to welcome you to the Skill Enhancement Course. This course is designed to empower students with different skills. We believe in their potential and are committed to providing them with the necessary tools to succeed.

Different Skills

  • Electronics technician: Through this skill, students are trained through practical work like soldering & de soldering, project work etc.
  • Solar PV technician: Through this skill, students can become self-reliant by learning the work of on grid off grid, soldering de soldering.
  • Electrical Vehicle : Through this skill, students can become self-reliant in their livelihood by learning Electrical Vehicle assembling and repairing.
  • Dress Making (Khadi cloths) : With this skill, students can start a unit by getting training in stitching Khadi clothes.
  • Embroidery : With this skill, students can use their art to decorate clothes by doing embroidery on them and can earn money.
  • Amber Spinning and Weaving : With this skill, students can become self reliant in their livelihood by weaving cloths.

(2) Industrial Training Institute (ITI) Grant In Aid (GIA)

ITI runs difference courses under NCVT & GCVT pattern. ITI is leading educational organisation in India. It is providing latest Job orient course for student. It is powered by 'Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Government of India for Craftsmen Training Scheme.
