Vallabh Vidyalay, Bochasan
The institution named Vallabh Vidhyalaya was established during the Indian Freedom Struggle. The institution was not established to impart mere rote learning of academic subjects, it was established to carry on non co.opreration, Satyagraha and to bring about social change through education by preparing the new generation to achieve that objedtive. The institation was fortunate enough to get inspiration and encourage-ment from Mahatma Gandhiji, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and the great men like RaviShankar Maharaj, Babalbhai Mehata, Gangaba, Shivabhai G Patel, Jayashankar Joshi and Kantilal Shah.
The Foundation Stone of Vallabh Vidyalaya was laid by Gandhiji on 6th May, 1931. It was declared open on 8th June , 1931 by shri Morarjibhai Desai.
In 1947 the Britishers left this contry and India became the independent nation. The Government of Bombay accorded recognition to Vallabh Vidyalaya as a residential basic school teaching spinning and weaving as a craft, as also experimental school in basic education.
