Gaushala
Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Dethali Gaushala
Krishi Vigyan Kendra Dethali, Kheda, Gujarat established the Gir gaushala in 2011. The main purpose of the Gir Gaushala is to demonstrate the original Gir cows to farmers of the Kheda district and conservation of Gir cows in Kheda district. Krishi Vigyan Kendra Gaushala also provide Gir animals to farmers through auction. KVK Kheda giving the training on value addition of milk therefore KVK Kheda prepare the Gir cow ghee from milk through milk cream separator. Currently KVK Gaushala has 48 Gir animals including 26 cows, 1 bull, 9 heifers and 11 small calves. The milk produced from gaushala is used for the students that stayed in the ashram shala at Gram Seva Kendra. Excess milk is distributed in office staff and remaining milk were used to prepare Dahi and Ghee through milk cream separator.
